Wilhelm Brüll (*18.December 1910 in Seubelsdorf, + 23 June 1943 in Egypt) managed to escape from Germany on the S.S. Hilda from Bratislava via the Danube and the Black Sea to Haifa/Palestine in October 1939 (organized by the Mossad). Upon arrival in Haifa on 24 January 1940, he was interned by the British occupation forces along with more than 700 other young Jews for illegal entry. Later Wilhelm Brüll joined the British army. He died on 23 June 1943 as a sapper in the Royal Engineers and is buried in the Ismailia War Memorial Cemetery, Moascar War Cemetery in Egypt.
